what is the difference between a public and private account?
though both accounts' basic statistics are accessible for everyone, the public accounts are, or can be, listed on the frontpage and the accountlist on the stimulusresponse site. If you don't want your stats listed for all to see, a private account is suggested.

why is it free?
when i was looking for and adjusting some statistics programs eventually i found out it's would be easier for me to actually just build a site where i could enter a couple of site instead of constantly configuring and learning new sites by other people. thought mostly grown out of laziness it's mostly out of fun now (yes people actually enjoy this kind of thing) and while my hosting space stays cheap it'll stay fun.

My tracker isn't working, what can I do?
The code you receive is in html format, if your email client doesn't support this it might come out wrong, currently I'm not working on another option, but.... after logging in you can check if you put in the correct code after clicking "tracker html". Still not working? send an email to j@stimulusresponse.org for further questions and (moral) support.

I don't like the counter icon. Are any other counter images available?
Currently there are no other icons available, though it is an option looked into. If you really really don't like it, you can hide it.

First make sure you're not comparing visitors with pageviews. Visitor definition can also vary per tracker. stimulusResponse.org works with app. 30 minute sessions. If a visitor returns to your site within half an hour, it's logged as a continuation of a current session and added to the previous visit (which sound right to me).l

I think my counter is stuck, what's going on?
stimulusResponse.org tracks you visitors and not necesarilly pageviews. The amount of visitors only increases when a new visitor visits your site.

Why is the amount of time spend on the last page of a visit not displayed?
Time spend on a page is determined by the difference between accessing the current page and the time of access of the page after that one in the sesssion. Because the last page doesn't have a page later there is no means of determining the duration of the page view.

I actually use the site myself to check new additions and check sites which are listed. So this would probably be me.
